Aromythos – The Traditional Kitchen of Europe

At Aromythos, we believe that recipes are far more than just instructions – they are part of a story that has been passed down through generations and are therefore a reflection of our culture and our way of life.

That’s why you’ll not only find traditional dishes from all over Europe, such as sweet Kaiserschmarrn from Vienna, a hearty breakfast from southern Bavaria or heavenly desserts from Sweden, but also the stories behind these dishes.
Who invented them? Who brought them to the table? And what do they mean to people and their culture?

Aromythos is part of the “Leiermann” project, a platform for European cultural history that keeps knowledge of our cultural history alive through blog posts, books and social media.
Here on this website, we dedicate ourselves entirely to the cuisine of Europe – and hope you enjoy discovering, cooking and browsing!
